Hi everyone it is Thomas here all the way from scotland just to say i have been busy looking for work that is why i have not been on for sometime. But it is good to be back and i will keep in touch just to ask did anyone find out about the details and all information i did ask for i do hope you all had a good week and do have a good weekend. we had some bad news there one of our close friends in church has died so we are holding best as we can. and just to let you know i am still looking for work for over there for sometime between now and next May. That is the latest that i would like to come over in the hope of finding work for many months that is. is there backpack cheep rooms the work i am looking for is in bar and restaurants all work in catering that is. do keep in touch thanks Thomas McGready.

Hi Thomas. I sent you an e-mail regarding this a few weeks ago. As I said then, I hope you will check in with your local British Consulate before travelling to Spain. That way you can learn about what you can expect in the way of support. Also be aware that there are no "Job Centres" as such in Spain, unless you are fluent in Spanish you would find it very hard to pick up work.


As for accomodation, there are Hostels and "Pensions" around, bu they are still not very cheap. Make sure you have access to funds to pay for these, but do not carry much cash with you. Talk to a bank about access to funds via a cash card or similar.

It is very unlikely you will be able to obtain work prior to May, so if you are coming, make it the last week in April or the first week in May when restaurants are opening so you have the best chance of picking up a contract for the season.
